Inside each set of the following
words, there are a pair of smaller
words. By putting & between them,
lo & behold, you'll make a familiar
phrase. For example,
"Thighbone/Swallowtail" conceals
"High & Low."

1. Gulliver/Clearness
2. Tragicomedy/Pentagon
3. Chinchilla/Magdalene

Dear Friend,

I was just conversing a few days ago with our visiting missionaries from Reunion about the
need for a shaking of the American people.  He agreed and added that he has been praying for
a crisis in his home country of France in order that the people might realize their need for God.
We talked about the current economic crisis and what effect it has had on faith.  Our
observation was that the response overall to the global recession has not been one of
increased reliance on God, but one of anger and blame.  And anger seems to be found
everywhere.

Aristotle wrote, “Anyone can become angry – that is easy.  But to angry with the right
person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is
not easy.”

God’s Word tells us to not let the sun go down on our anger (Eph. 4:26).  That suggests
some important principles to follow:
          1.  Settle relationship accounts today.  Don’t put them off.
          2.  Allow yourself to feel appropriate anger, but remember that anger usually has more to
do with you than with the other person.
          3.  Don’t stay angry.  Pride keeps us away from people, leaving us disconnected and
disappointed.

Why not start the process of reconciliation today if there is a rift in one of your
relationships?  Begin to restore what is good.  Someone has to make the first move.  Why not
you?  Friendships and a clear conscience wait to be enjoyed.  Why would you settle for
anything less?
